Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. We want to protect your personal information just as we would protect ours. This privacy policy applies to the app Roadblock on iOS and macOS ("Roadblock"), which is owned and developed by Obied Corner Software.
By downloading, installing, or using Roadblock, you are accepting the terms of this privacy policy.
Information Roadblock Collects
Roadblock collects a limited amount of information needed to provide and maintain certain features of the app.
Depending on the features you use, Roadblock may collect:
- Purchase and subscription information: When you subscribe to Roadblock Premium ("Premium") through the App Store, Roadblock receives information necessary to verify and maintain your subscription status. This may include information associated with your App Store purchase and subscription, such as transaction identifiers, subscription status, and expiration information.
- User identifier: When you install Roadblock, a random identifier is generated and stored locally. When you subscribe to Premium, the identifier is associated with your subscription and used to authenticate the app to Roadblock's services.
- Device identifier: Roadblock may collect an Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token associated with your device. This information is used to deliver silent remote notifications about updates to the built-in rules.
Roadblock does not require you to provide your name, address, telephone number, or other identifying information to use the app.
Roadblock does not sell your information or use it for advertising or tracking.
Safari Content Blocker Extensions
When you install Roadblock, five Safari content blocker extensions and one Safari web extension become available in Safari. All extensions use features and technologies in Safari that protect your privacy.
The content blocker extensions (Ads, Trackers, Annoyances, Languages, and Custom) do not request access to website content. The extensions do not have access to your browsing activities and cannot send any information about what was blocked back to the app.
Safari Web Extension
When you use Roadblock's Safari web extension (Tools), the extension can access the current tab's URL and its webpage content.
When you use the extension to block and hide content visually, the extension accesses the URL of the current tab and its webpage. When you use the extension to block, secure, or allow websites, the extension accesses the URL of the current tab. The extension processes this information on your device and only sends what is necessary for the requested feature back to the app.
The extension can also deal with advertisements that cannot be blocked without access to the webpage's content, so in limited cases the extension might request access to the content of specific websites.
Using the web extension is optional.
iCloud Sync
Roadblock can sync profiles and settings using iCloud, which is owned and operated by Apple. iCloud Sync is optional and is turned off by default.
Information synchronized through iCloud is subject to Apple's privacy practices. You can find Apple's privacy policy here.
Website
Roadblock's help and contact sections open webpages from our website and/or link to webpages on our website. You can find the terms of our website's privacy policy here.
