Roadblock does not collect or store any personal information. When you install Roadblock, two app extensions become available in Safari: Blocker Extension and Safari Extension. Both extensions use features and technologies in Safari that protect your privacy.
Roadblock's blocker extension does not request access to any website. The extension does not have access to your browsing activities and cannot send any information about what was blocked back to the app.
Roadblock's Safari extension request access to all websites because the features offered by the extension cannot work without such permissions. When you use the extension to block, secure, whitelist websites, the extension accesses the URL of the active tab. When you use the extension to block and hide content visually, the extension accesses the URL of the active tab and its webpage. When the extension needs to reload a webpage, the extension accesses the URL of the webpage. The features we described cannot work without requesting access to all websites. The access request must be set when the extension is built and cannot be set dynamically or changed without building a new version. Enabling and using the Safari extension is optional.
